Volo, Illinois New Homes
It’s a new day in homebuilding in America, a day of rapidly changing customer preferences and priorities. Yet the most fundamental values of home ownership remain constant: comfort, quality and community.
As the nation’s largest new homebuilder, we at D.R. Horton® have embraced the challenge of meeting the ever-changing needs of today’s homebuyers while maintaining the most meaningful traditions of home ownership. It has been our success in meeting that challenge that has brought us to the forefront of the Chicago market. With more than 35 years of experience in new construction homes, we are confident that you and your family will find what you’re searching for in Volo, IL.
Volo Single Homes and Townhomes
At D.R. Horton®, we’ve spent the past 35 years listening to you and delivering what you want. More energy-efficient construction. More interactive home designs. More affordable new homes from the $170’s. And more communities designed around the lifestyles of the people who choose to live there. In short, more of what you want in the place you call home!
But what is “home”? It’s so much more than just a house and a yard, an investment or a possession. At its best, it is a place that defines our lives – where our children grow up and families grow close, where lifelong friendships form and lifetime memories take shape, where a sense of belonging takes hold and weaves a community fabric that is warm and welcoming, strong and enduring. That’s the Volo experience.
Whatever your family needs – whether it be a single-family home or a townhome – a ranch home or a two-story home – two bedrooms or five bedrooms, one bathroom or three-and-a-half bathrooms, two garages or three garages – whether you’re looking for a 1,400 square-foot home or a 3,100 square-foot home, Symphony Meadows is the perfect backdrop for your family’s scrapbook.
And with a community that more than 130 acres of open space including natural Ccnversation areas and ponds, basketball courts, natures trails and numerous parks, can enjoy the wonders of Volo without ever leaving the premises of the gated community.
Discover Volo
Incorporated in 1993, Volo is a village of quaint charm that managed to maintain its reputation as “A Family Community” even after growing from 180 residents in 2000 to just under 3000 residents in 2010. And that’s good news for people who relish the best of everything: Life in a close-knit, small town atmosphere where every convenience is close at hand.
With two nationally known attractions, the small Lake County town of Volo has a big reputation. Hot-rod fans come from all over the country to visit the Volo Auto Museum, where over 300 classic cars are on display, including popular “muscle cars,” military vehicles, and cars used in famous Hollywood movies. And the Volo Bog State Natural Area, which has also been designated a National Natural Landmark, is Illinois’ only “quaking bog,” a pre-historic lake that has slowly filled in with vegetation. Floating boardwalks take visitors through this unique landscape, home to over 180 species of birds.
Another favorite spot for nature lovers is nearby Moraine Hills State Park, with 1,700 acres of marshes, lakes and wooded hills that are a haven for wildlife and migratory birds. Its peaceful vistas are in contrast to the busy trails and waterways of Chain O’Lakes State Park, where boating, fishing and skiing provide year-round recreation. Additional takers throughout the area offer spectacular scenery and outdoor adventures, from casting for bass and northern pike on Fish Lake to swimming and swimming at Wauconda Beach on Bang’s Lake. If golf is your sport, nearby courses such as Pistakee Golf Course and Stonewall Orchard Golf Course offer the challenges you are looking for.
The excellent schools of Wauconda District #118 will be ready to teach the children of Symphony Meadows, with newly renewed facilities and upgraded technology. A new auditorium and more classrooms will be added to Wauconda High School, and both the Grade School and Middle School will be updated and improved as well. The district has incorporated the award-winning “First Class” program to promote healthy character development among their students.
A location at the intersection of Route 12 and Route 120 gives Symphony Meadows residents easy access to other major streets and I-94, as well as Metra trains, which brings commuters to Chicago’s Union Station. Shoppers find plenty to choose from along Route 12 or Rollins Road. When a trip to the mall is called for Deer Park Town is an easy drive away.
Neighboring Communities: Fox Lake, Grayslake, McHenry, Round Lake
Symphony Meadows’ centralized location in Lake County allows you easy access to the hot spots and events in a number of nearby towns. Located just five miles from Fox Lake, you’ll be right down the road from the recreational hub of the Chain O’ Lakes region, a region that includes the Fox River and more than 7,000 acres of water recreation. The summer months can also be spent at Grayslake’s Festival of Arts and Crafts, McHenry’s Fiesta Days or Round Lake’s Home Town Festival.
