This mortgage payment protection program provides eligible home buyers involuntary unemployment insurance at no additional cost! The program helps to minimize the possible expenditure of savings, retirement or college funds or the use of credit after a qualifying event of involuntary unemployment.

Eligibility for Benefits

Provides for payment of actual mortgage principal, interest, taxes and insurance (“PITI”) of up to $2,000 ($2,500 in select communities) per month for up to six months of unemployment occurring during the 24 month period following closing.

Your monthly PITI will be paid directly to your lender/servicer should you become involuntarily unemployed.

Policy effective on closing date with easy enrollment process.

This benefit is available to eligible D.R. Horton home buyers in select communities at no additional cost.

Coverage is even provided for lockouts and strikes!

Termination must not occur within Sixty (60) days from the date of closing (the Vesting Period)

Employed full time (minimum thirty (30) hours per week)

Cannot be self employed, an independent contractor, or active military

Must be 18 years of age

Must qualify for state unemployment benefits

Subsequent unemployment has a new thirty (30) day waiting period and a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks employment

Eligibility for benefits begins thirty (30) days after the date of termination

For new customers in select communities who are eligible pursuant to the terms of the program and are enrolled at the time of closing by a participating D.R. Horton division
