Overview

The City of Hoschton is a small community located just off I-85 in Jackson County in north Georgia, about 35 miles northeast of the Atlanta perimeter.  Jackson County is included in the 10 fastest growing counties in the country yet offers an abundance of open spaces and unspoiled views of the state’s Piedmont Region, just south of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Trivia

Many want to call it “Hosh-ton.” The correct pronunciation is “Hoosh- (rhymes with push) ton.” William Hosch and his brothers founded Hoschton in 1881, and he built the first house there.

West Jackson Park at Hoschton

Local Park features walking trails, playground, tennis courts, lighted baseball/softball fields, batting cages and multiple covered pavilions with picnic tables.

Reunion Country Club & Golf

The championship par 72 course designed by Michael Riley provides a challenging experience for golfers of all levels, playing from 5004 yards to 6936 yards from the back tee. There is also a large driving range and putting green.

Sell’s Mill Park

Offers a large covered pavilion with picnic tables, playground and walking trails. The Mill building can also be rented for small events.

Braselton Farmers Market

Located on Davis Street in historic Downtown, enjoy some of North Georgia’s finest locally sourced provisions from homemade goods to farm-fresh produce. The summer market is held every Friday from June through the first three weeks of August, and year-round every third Friday from January to May and September to November.

Chateau Elan Winery and Resort

Spanning 3,500 acres of rolling hills and wooded forests, Chateau Elan is North Georgia’s premier destination resort. This sprawling property features multiple restaurants, professionally staffed golf and tennis clubs, a world-class spa, and more. Chateau Elan Winery has emerged as one of the largest and most awarded wineries on the East Coast offering more than 30 wines produced with grapes grown in their Braselton and south of Georgia vineyards, as well as grapes hand-picked and transported from California’s Lake County and Clarksburg regions. The North Georgia winery is open daily for guided tours and tastings, as well as one-of-a-kind private events.

Road Atlanta

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta offers fast-paced entertainment. The facility hosts a wide variety of events, including professional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races, racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams.

Slow Water

Slow Water is a family owned kayaking and tubing outfitter on the Broad River that was established in 2000. River trips are family and dog friendly.  They have a fleet of kayaks as well as tubes ready for a day on the river.
