PARKS & RECREATION

Mississippi Wildlife Sandhill Crane Wildlife Refuge: Located along the Mississippi Sound, this 19,000-acre nature preserve offers a variety of nature trails offering the unique scenic exploration of the Savannah wetlands inhabitants, including the refuge’s purpose and namesake, the endangered Mississippi Sandhill Crane. 

URBAN DESIGN

The Coast Transit Authority: As the main transit service for the Gulfport-Biloxi metropolitan area, this agency operates a fleet of nine regular routes for riders in Jackson, Harrison and Handcock Counties, as well as five parks and ride lots including the “Beachcomber” replica trolley and a Casino Hopper Shuttle providing connections to facilities on the Biloxi Waterfront.

NIGHTLIFE

Biloxi Entertainment Districts: Located along Mississippi’s Gulf, this city is popular amongst residents and visitors alike thanks to its two entertainment districts, both comprising of a variety of prime options from award-winning restaurants to beachside bars, toe-tapping live music, Vegas-style resorts with equally impressive locations in the historic district and beach-front mecca of Biloxi Bay.
