PARKS & RECREATION

Eagle Mountain Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in north Texas spanning 8,694 acres. This recreational lake is great for fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, relaxing, and recreational boating. There are numerous parks located around the lake for hiking, boating, or spending a day at the beach.

Eagle Mountain Park- Located just 5 miles north off Boat Club Rd. Eagle Mountain Park provides an escape from the city with 450 acres of nature, wildlife, and picturesque views over Eagle Mountain Lake. The park is a premier location for hiking in Fort Worth, with over 6 miles of trails over varying terrain. Note that to maintain the rural natural habit for the wildlife in the area, pets and bikes are not allowed. The park is free and open from dawn to dusk.

Twin Points Park- Take a break from reality and relax, swim, and celebrate at Fort Worth’s premiere daycation spot, just 10 minutes away. This beautiful beach is nestled in the southern point of Eagle Mountain Lake and is the perfect place to create your favorite summer memories.

URBAN DESIGN

FWTA: Fort Worth Transportation Authority annually provides nearly 9 million passenger trips on buses, vanpools and the Trinity Railway Express. FWTA’s vision is to make Fort Worth more livable and support continued economic growth.

TEXRail: This 27-mile commuter rail line begins service in late 2018 with nearly 8,000 daily riders extending from downtown Fort Worth, across northeast Tarrant County, through North Richland Hills and Grapevine, and into DFW International Airport.

NIGHTLIFE

The night life in Fort Worth is second to none. Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District: Fort Worth is where the West begins, and nothing embodies Texas’s famous heritage better than original brick walkways to the wooden corrals as you enjoy the nightlife at one of the many saloon-style restaurants and bars.

ARTS & LIFESTYLE

The Cultural District is home to major museums, including the architecturally striking modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and the Kimbell Art Museum, with its collection of European paintings and antiquities. Indie-rock and country acts perform popular bars around south of West 7th Street, while the Dickies Arena hosts rodeos, livestock shows and events.
