Wayne County’s quaint city of Goldsboro sits in the heart of eastern North Carolina. This historic city is the mid-point between many of the state’s iconic locations: 1 hour from the state capital of Raleigh, 1 hour from Fayetteville/Fort Liberty, and 2 hours from the beaches of the Crystal Coast. Goldsboro is also the home of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

The city offers an excellent quality of life, with a diverse population and an affordable cost of living. Goldsboro is known for its many parks, including the famous Herman Park, known for being the oldest in Goldsboro as well as sporting a beautiful gazebo in the center. Cliffs of the Neuse State Park feature cliffs rising 90 feet above the river and hiking trails, fishing, and camping. The downtown is a picturesque combination of outstanding architecture, great food (BBQ!), and thriving businesses. Goldsboro has plenty of tap houses, craft beer rooms, local wineries, and cocktail lounges. The arts are an intrinsic part of Wayne County, too.
