The Prairie Creek Greenway managed by Platte County Parks and Rec, located on N Highway, is one of the county’s most beautiful trail systems covering 6.75 miles of paved trails for hiking and walking. Every summer, Platte City hosts the Platte County Fair, which has been held for over 150 years and is the oldest, continuously running county fair west of the Mississippi.
