Tri-Cities is also considered the heart of Washington’s wine country, famed for its cabernet, syrah, and chardonnay. With over 200 local wineries in the area, there are plenty of tours that make for a great weekend activity and draw a lot of visitors to the region. The food scene has everything from fine dining to casual, with fresh seafood and local produce. Sink your teeth into the annual Taco Crawl in the spring or a crawfish boil in the fall.

Tri-Cities is in the Columbia basin, with an arid climate and four seasons. Its most common weather is sunny and clear, with plenty of wind over the rivers. The temperature usually stays above freezing, though it may drop below sometimes in the winter with a few inches of snowfall.
