Forney ISD


Ellen Brooks West Memorial Library is open to the public and sponsored by the City of Forney and Forney ISD. Forney offers a array of parks including the Forney Community Park which offers an amphitheater, tennis courts, baseball complex, basketball courts, volleyball courts, splash pad, bike and hike trails, and pavilion rental areas. Also visit the relaxing Bell Park downtown and Eastside Park.


Enjoy 2nd Saturday Artisan and Farmer’s Market from March to November. 2nd Saturday is sponsored by the Forney Arts Council and features locally grown produce and handcrafted items. There is also a craft booth for children. Located on the grounds of the historic Murray Cotton Gin.

Spellman Amphitheater offers concerts during the summer months and movie in the park on Saturdays.

Forney is known for its wide array of antiques shops. At one point the state legislature deemed Forney the “Antiques Capital of Texas”. Today, Forney still draws in shoppers from all over the state.
