Friendly competition can also be found at the park’s horseshoe pit or the Harwood Park Disc Golf Course, a six-hole course that can be played through a rotation for a full game or straight through for an abbreviated game. In addition to family-friendly recreation, Harwood Park offers great options for exercise. The walking trail around the park is a one-third-mile loop, allowing for a relaxed stroll with a friend or a jog of any length. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, you may choose to cool off and do some laps in the community pool. The town also offers open swim for residents and a swim lessons program, including a Junior Lifeguarding class for swimmers ages 10-14 looking for an introduction to lifeguarding.
